Michael Smith, 60, of Lampasas died July 6, 2010.

A celebration of life was July 9 at New Covenant Church in Lampasas.

Mr. Smith was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Cavite, Philippines, to George Arthur and Maxine Webber Smith, who preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mr. Smith formerly worked for the city of Lampasas, and was a retired truck driver. He attended New Covenant.

Survivors include his wife, Christina Smith of Lampasas; a son and his wife, Joseph Jimmy and Ruth Rios of Lampasas; a brother and his wife, George Arthur and Elaine Smith of New Mexico; sisters, Elizabeth Cousert and husband, Chuck of Wyoming, and Nancy Vona of California; grandchildren, Alicia Marie and Danielle Paige; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
