Effective Wednesday afternoon, water restrictions enacted recently have been changed from mandatory to voluntary. Although recent rains have increased city water supplies, Lampasas officials still encourage residents to water their lawns and use sprinkler systems only between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m., and to limit the filling or refilling of pools.
