Mrs. Evelyn (Midge) Bunton Faubion, 93, of Marble Falls passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in St. David’s South Austin Hospital following surgery. Her son and his family were by her bedside at the time of her death.

Midge was born May 14, 1917, in Gonzales, Texas, to the Rev. W. S. and Rhoda Dubose Bunton. Her early years were spent in Gonzales, Fort Worth, Caddo and Brownwood. She graduated from Brownwood High School and the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. She married Forrest F. (Jack) Faubion December 20, 1941, and they were married almost 63 years before his death in 2004.

She taught elementary school for over 37 years. During those years she taught in Spicewood, Briggs, Center Point, Evant, New Deal, Lampasas and Marble Falls.

Midge was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls for 43 years. She taught Sunday School classes wherever she lived. Many lives were touched by Midge as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother, Aunt, Teacher, and Friend.

Survivors include son, Jim Faubion, and wife, Doris, of San Marcos; son-in-law, Lucius Jones of Spicewood; grandchildren, Linda Faubion Griner and husband Tim of Seguin, David Forrest Faubion of Cibolo, and Tim Jones and wife Eleanor of Spring; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Forrest Griner, Trent Jones, Tori Jones and Sophia Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother James Carroll Bunton; husband; daughter, Ann Faubion Jones; and a grandson, Steve Jones.

The family wishes to express their thanks for the loving care by the hospital staff at St. David’s South Austin Hospital.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2010, at Edgar Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Max Copeland and Weldon French officiating. Interment will follow at Fowler Cemetery, Spicewood, Texas. The family received friends Thursday at the funeral home.
