Suspect sought in trespass incident

On Wednesday at approximately 7:50 p.m., Lampasas Police Department officers responded to a call about an unknown suspect in the back yard of a residence on Kathie Lane.

When the female resident returned home, she walked toward her garage door and discovered a white male teenager. The youth was described as being about 14 years old with short black hair and a large mole on his right cheek, wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans, and carrying a green or blue book bag. The suspect was exiting the fenced-in back yard to the residence.

When the suspect saw the resident, he tried to escape by running toward her and the front yard. The resident sprayed the suspect in the face with pepper spray in self-defense.

The suspect may have displayed the effects of the pepper spray by being temporarily blinded or by having red, blood-shot eyes or red and irritated skin.

Anyone with information about the suspect that might be helpful in the investigation is asked to contact the Lampasas Police Department at 556-3644.
