Hometown Fourth of July is on tap in Lometa. A free fireworks show at Lometa Regional Park will begin at dark. The public is invited. The event for the past 10 years was organized by Lometa businessman Walter Powell, who now is suffering from cancer, but the Independence Day tradition continues.
