Lampasas County steer validation for major shows in 2011, including the county show, is June 24 at 4 p.m. at the Mike Atkinson ranch off U.S. Highway 183 South. Steer exhibitors and their families need to participate to fill out paperwork and pay for steer tags and county show entries. Students may enter their steers and heifers for the county show.
