This colorful mural at Sixth and Western streets features historic buildings and sites within the confines of the letters’ outline. Vision Lampasas! will host a public celebration of the completion of the Postcard mural on the Ron Ischy Masonry building, Sixth and Western streets, Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Music and light refreshments will be offered. The public is invited to the free event.

The mural is the third in VL’s mural project. The Boot Roundup -- on the side of the Jerry Goodson Surveying building -- was the first, and Generations, on Second and Western, was the second.

Water is Life, the next in the series, will be on the side of the Mullican building in the breezeway adjacent to the new county annex building on Pecan Street.

Last year, the VL mural project was one of three finalists in the Texas Downtown Association President’s Awards in the Best Public Improvement category.
