Class holds 61-year reunion

The Lometa High School Class of 1949 celebrated its 61st reunion with a two-day gathering April 16-17.
Class members met Friday at the Wagon Wheel Cafe in Lometa for a fish dinner, followed by visiting at the home of Jane and Leo Lacey.
The celebration continued Saturday with a catered lunch at Lometa Methodist Church annex.
Classmates and their spouses in attendance were Jack and Frances Mason, John and Teresa Davis, Darrell and Ida Pamplin, Jane (Black) and Leo Lacey, Bonnie (Coleman) and Don Owens.
Others included Josephine Hammonds, Beth Powers Carlisle, Helen Warren Rosener and a former classmate Bill Lightfoot.
Others were friends, Jarvis and Shirley Carlisle, Mary McCann, Norris and Wanda Monroe, and Junior Conradt.
The group agreed to meet next year.
