County eligible for funding

United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development recently completed a review of eligible areas in Texas that can receive financing through available housing programs to assist rural communities and residents.

Financial assistance available through USDA Rural Development is limited to rural areas. USDA is required to complete a periodic review of all Texas counties to identify areas in each county where designations are changing from non-rural to rural, or areas that no longer qualify as rural.

Information on findings and proposed changes can be found at www.rurdev.usda.gov/tx.

Send comments on findings and proposed changes to USDA Rural Development, Texas State Office, 101 South Main St., Ste. 102, Temple TX 76501, Attention: Rural Housing Programs. Comments are welcomed for 90 days or until Sept. 1, 2010.
