Mr. Cummins
Funeral services for Willie Leon Cummins, 83, of Lampasas are June 9, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Cummins died June 6 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Lampasas, the son of Walter Walker and Alva Turner Cummins.
He married Lena Rhymes on April 17, 1947.
Mr. Cummins served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a plumber in Lampasas for many years and was a member of Christ the Rock Church.
Mr. Cummins enjoyed fishing and traveling to Louisiana.
Survivors include one son, James L. (JC) Cummins of Lampasas; five daughters, Sandra Blake and David, Alice Gauna, Suzy Donaldson and Billy, and Billie Ruth Cummins, all of Lampasas, and Evelyn Daman and Mike of Austin; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, two sisters and a grandson, James Edward Cummins.
