In recent 27th District Court action with Judge Bill Bachus presiding, Kempner resident Rachel Ann Byrd, 34, was sentenced to six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Ms. Byrd also must pay a fine and court costs. She was credited with jail time served.
For driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, 42-yearold Blair Duane Wright of Buena Vista, Colo., received a two-year state jail sentence.
Copperas Cove resident Lemuel Eugene Shaw, 63, received five years’ deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine for sexual perform child employ induce/authorize.
A charge of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger under 15 years of age against John Wayne Savage Jr., 39, of Lampasas was reduced to a Class A misdemeanor. He received two years’ probation and a $1,000 fine.
Sean Matthew Reed, 19, of Lampasas had his bond reduced. He is not allowed to operate a motor vehicle. Reed is set for a July 16 revocation hearing for delivery of marijuana over one-fourth ounce and under five pounds.
Arraignments are set Friday for Thomas Ed Maultsby, 49, of Copperas Cove for possession of a controlled substance more than one gram and less than four grams; and Refugio Hernandez, 41, of Lometa for driving while intoxicated third or more.
Pretrial hearings are on Friday’s docket for Carl Bradley Carrigan, 33, for possession with intent to promote child pornography; and Manuel Mondragon Martinez, 31, of Fort Hood for driving while intoxicated third or more.
Pretrial hearings are slated June 11 for Emily Gail Garner, 20, of Austin for forgery of a financial instrument; Jason Wayne Mathenia, 27, of Copperas Cove for burglary of a habitation; and Christine Michelle Potts, 29, of San Saba for possession of a controlled substance more than one gram and less than four grams.
Arraignment is slated June 11 for Victoria Marie Redmayne, 19, of Austin for forgery of a financial instrument.
A June 11 adjudication hearing is set for Joseph Randall Jacobs, 27, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
A pretrial hearing is slated June 18 for 41-year-old Paul Thomas Hughes for criminal non-support and misappropriation of a fiduciary/ financial instrument over $20,000 and less than $100,000.
A June 28 jury trial is scheduled for Craig Edward Scott, 22, on a charge of burglary of a habitation.
Defendants slated for July 26 jury trials include Laura Suzanne Weaver, 42, for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; and Armando Rosales, 32, of Lampasas for two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance more than one gram and less than four grams.
