Mrs. Reavis
Lucille Kendrick Reavis, 97, died May 27, 2010, in New Braunfels.
Funeral services were May 30 at Florence Primitive Baptist Church with burial at Florence City Cemetery.
Mrs. Reavis was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Oakalla, to Arthur and Ora Belle Kendrick.
She was a homemaker, kindergarten teacher and college dorm mother. A lifetime member of Florence Primitive Baptist Church, Mrs. Reavis enjoyed dancing and growing flowers.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Standifer of Baytown, Nina Moore and husband, Harold, of Burleson, and Linda Forbes of New Braunfels; six grandchildren, Terry Standifer and Danette Hall of Baytown, Debra Roman Jewell of St. Petersburg, Fla., Donnie Moore of Arlington, and Trey Forbes and Dawn Kesselring of New Braunfels; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Nina Smale of Lampasas; a brother, A.J. Kendrick of Lampasas; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Reavis; by a son, Gary Reavis; brothers, Daily, Weldon and Adois Kendrick; a sister, Roberteen Davis; sons-in-law, Glen Standifer and Chuck Forbes; and a husband, Bill Brown.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
