Cody Brister
Cody Shane Brister
is the grandson of Kay and Doug Brister, and the son of Shane and Celeste Brister. He is a four-year member of the football team. He is a recipient of the Art Award and the Lions Club “A” Award.
A 2010 Hornet Offensive MVP, Cody was selected to play in the 2010 Six-Man Coaches Association All-Star Football Game and was named a first team All-District runningback, first team All-District cornerback and second team All- Region runningback.
Cody also received commended recognition on the TAKS Exit- Level test.
After graduation he plans to attend college and work toward a degree.
Colter Burr is the brother of Cristopher and Camron Brister. He played football all four years of high school, and received honors as first team All-District nose guard and second team All-District utility player. He was selected to play in the 2010 Six-Man Coaches Association All-Star Football Game.

Colter plans to attend college.
A.J. Castruita is the son of Gregorio Castruita. During high school, A.J. was active in football, two years; track, four years; basketball, four years; One-Act Play, three years; Student Council, one year; and cross country, four years.
His achievements include selection as a first team All-District safety and first team All-Region cornerback. A.J. is a two-time regional qualifier in cross country. He also qualified twice for area in track and field, and once in discus at regionals.
In One-Act Play, A.J. earned All- Star Cast and honorable mention All-Star Cast at zone, district, area and regional levels. He was a cast member in the regional-qualifying play his sophomore year, and the state-qualifying play in his junior and senior years.
A.J. Castruita
A.J. received a scholarship from Tyler Junior College and plans to major in cosmetology or theater.
Curtis Crain is the son of W.D. and Kristen Crain. As salutatorian of his class, he attended the Lions Club Honor Banquet, where he received the “A” Award all four years, and was on the “A” Honor Roll. Curtis advanced to regionals in news writing and exhibited the grand champion ag mechanics project at the 2010 Lampasas County Youth Livestock Show.
After graduation, he plans to attend Central Texas College and pursue a career as a history teacher.
Lyndsay Delp is the daughter of Nora and Robert Delp. During high school, Lyndsay was active in UIL ready writing, in which she earned a district title one year and advanced to regionals.
Lyndsay’s other extracurricular activities include two years in UIL social studies, and one year in literary criticism and Lincoln Douglas Debate. She was a state qualifier in One-Act Play.
Curtis Crain
After high school, she plans to attend McLennan Community College to study radiology.
Colt D’Spain is the son of Eunice D’Spain and the late Garry D’Spain. During high school, he participated in cross country, one year; FFA, three years; basketball, four years; track, one year; One- Act Play, two years; and Student Council, one year.
In FFA, Colt earned Greenhand and Chapter Degrees, and competed in chapter conducting and skills.
He was a member of the twotime, state-qualifying One-Act Play crew and also received the Lions Club “A” Award.
After high school, Colt plans to attend Central Texas College to become an electrician.
Scott Hernandez is the son of Isabell Nino and Pancho Hernandez. He played football for three years and was named second team All District.
Lyndsay Delp
After high school, Scott plans to work and is considering college.
Josh Logsdon is the son of Bill and Kathy Logsdon. Valedictorian of his class, Josh has been active during high school: football, two years; track, one year; FFA, four years; Lincoln Douglas Debate, four years; One-Act Play, three years; UIL number sense, three years; UIL spelling, four years; UIL mathematics, two years; persuasive extemporaneous speaking, two years; headline writing, one year; current issues and events, two years; and social studies, one year.
In FFA, Josh received Greenhand, Chapter and Lone Star Degrees.
He was a regional qualifier in number sense, mathematics, One- Act Play, persuasive extemporaneous speaking and Lincoln Douglas Debate. He was a state qualifier in One-Act Play and Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Colt D'Spain
Josh’s One-Act Play awards include All-Star Cast and honorable mention All-Star Cast at the zone, district and area levels. He was named best actor at regionals this year.
He is a recipient of the Lions Club “A” Award, the Hal Everett Award, departmental awards in social studies, science and agriculture.
After high school, Josh plans to attend Angelo State University to major in cell and molecular biology. He also plans to attend medical school and become a neurologist.
Josh Lozano is the son of Monica Lozano. He played football and basketball for one year. After high school, he said he plans to be successful in his endeavors.
Juan Moreno is the son of Lino Moreno and Sandra Flores. During high school, he was active in football, three years; basketball, one year; track, one year; Student Council, one year; and UIL academics, one year.
Scott Hernandez
Juan was on the “A-B” Honor Roll and received the Lions Club “A” Award. He also was honored for perfect attendance and was named an All-District defensive lineman in football.
After high school, Juan plans to attend Cisco Junior College and pursue a career in law enforcement.
Felipe Nava is the son of William and Teresa Livesay. During high school, he was active in football, basketball and track. This year during football season, Felipe was named Newcomer of the Year and first team All-District. He also was a first team All-Region split end and an honorable mention All-State split end.
In basketball, Felipe was named Newcomer of the Year, first team All-District and second Team All- Region.
After graduation, he will attend Tyler Junior College.
Josh Logsdon

is the son of Stacy and Bill Pauly. After high school, he plans to attend college and work.
Agustin Perez is the son of Agustin and Laura Perez. During his high school years, he was active in basketball for two years and cross country for one year. He is a recipient of the Lions Club “A” Award.
After high school, Agustin plans to attend a college or technical school.
Brittany Perez is the daughter of Sandy Perez. During high school, she was active in basketball, one year; track, one year; cross country, one year; FFA, one year; and yearbook, one year.
After graduation, Brittany hopes to become successful.
Maribel Reyes is the daughter of Maria and Juan Reyes. During high school, she was active in basketball, four years; track, three years; cross country, four years; cheerleading, one year; and annual staff, four years.
Josh Lozano
Maribel was named first team All-District and second team All- District in basketball, advancing to the playoffs twice. She was a twotime area and regional qualifier in track.
Maribel received the Lions Club “A” Award three times and earned a departmental award in yearbook. She also garnered a Most Improved Award and MVP awards in basketball, and was an All-American cheerleader nominee.
After graduation, Maribel plans to work before attending college.
Nayla Rosales is the daughter of Bertha and Jose Rosales. During high school, she was active in basketball, four years; track, four years; cross country, three years; cheerleading, one year; annual staff, one year; and FFA, one year.
Nayla was a three-time regional qualifier in cross country and track, and was named second team All-District in basketball, where she advanced to the playoffs twice. She also was named cross country MVP.
Juan Moreno
After graduation, Nayla plans to take a year off and then enter the Air Force.
Skyler Sims is the daughter of Kristi Gleaves and Scott Sims. While in high school, she was active in FFA, Student Council and annual staff. She received Greenhand and Chapter Degrees, and competed on the radio and Ag Issues teams.
After high school, Skyler plans to attend college and become a registered nurse.
Sonia Sims is the daughter of Cyndi and Scott Sims. She has been active in powerlifting, four years; cheerleading, one year; track, one year; and UIL science, two years. Sonia was a regional and state qualifier in powerlifting, and advanced to regionals in UIL science.
Felipe Nava
She received the Lions Club “A” Award all four years in high school and received honors as most improved powerlifter. She was named powerlifting MVP twice.
After graduation, Sonia will attend Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to pursue a degree in marine biology.
Jasmin Vandergriff is the daughter of Claudia McKenney and James Vandergriff. During high school, Jasmin competed in UIL literary criticism for three years. She was a recipient of the Lions Club “A” Award, as well as awards in UIL academics and FFA.
After graduation, Jasmin plans to attend college and major in psychology. She would like to become a military psychologist.
Daniel Velez is the son of Ramona Sanchez. He played football all four years of high school. Daniel plans to attend college to major in criminal justice and become a police officer.

Brandon Young
is the son of Renee Young and Johnny Molina. He was active in football for two years and track for two years.
Joseph Charles Wagner is the son of Emma Wagner and the late Charles Wagner. During high school, Charlie participated in football for one year and basketball for four years. During football, he was named Newcomer of the Year, and was a first team All-District spread back and second team All-Region utility back.
In basketball, Charlie was named to the first team All-District team and first team All-Region team as a point guard. He will play in the 2010 Texas Six-Man Coaches Association All-Star Basketball Game.
After high school, Charlie plans to attend college to major in criminal justice with the goal of becoming a state trooper.

Christina Whisenhunt is the daughter of Roy and Kristen Whisenhunt. Her extracurricular activities include three years in basketball, three years in track and one year in UIL academics. She was on the “A-B” Honor Roll her freshman year.
