Lometa’s Class of 2010 to graduate tonight

The Lometa High School Class of 2010 will gather for one of its final times as a group tonight at commencement exercises.
Twenty-two students are slated to receive diplomas in the school gymnasium at 8 p.m.
Graduates will include Cody Brister, Colter Burr, Gregoria Castruita, Curtis Crain, Lyndsay Delp, Colt D’Spain, Scott Hernandez, Joshua Logsdon, Joshua Lozano, Juan Moreno and Felipe Nave.
Also, George Pauly, Brittany Perez, Agustin Perez-Aguilar, Maribel Reyes, Nayla Rosales, Skyler Sims, Sonia Sims, Jasmin Vandergriff, Daniel Velez, Joseph Wagner and Brandon Young.
Cynthia Kirby will provide the processional music, “Pomp and Circumstance,” to begin the graduation ceremonies, and the invocation will be given by Sonia Sims.
The salutatory address will be de- livered by Curtis Crain, followed by an address from Joshua Logsdon, valedictorian.
The class song, “Say Goodbye,” will be performed.
Special awards will be handed out by Lometa High School Principal Kip Bullock.
Conferral of diplomas will be done by Tommy Maddox, president of the Lometa Independent School District Board of Trustees, and Superintendent David Rice.
A rose presentation will be held, followed by singing of the alma mater, and the benediction will be offered by Juan Moreno, followed by a recessional.
A reception is set immediately after graduation in the cafetorium by Lometa Methodist Church.
Class officers include A.J. Castruita, president; Juan Moreno, vice president; Brittany Perez, secretary; and Agustin Perez, treasurer.
