Briggs resident Dorothy L. Bell, 86, died May 21, 2010, at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.

Visitation is May 25 at 1 p.m. at Briggs Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery at Briggs.

Mrs. Bell was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Meeks, the daughter of Enoch and Leila Scarbrough.

She married Denny Bell on Sept. 9, 1939, in San Antonio and they moved to Briggs in 1943 where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Mrs. Bell was a member of Briggs Baptist Church since July 1944.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Claudette and Vaughn Musgrave; two grandsons, James Max Taylor Jr. and Mark Dennis Taylor; two great-grandsons, Caleb Maxwell Taylor and Luke Andrew Taylor; and a sister, Lena Pruitt.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; by brothers, Calvin and Kay Scarbrough; and a sister, Edna Lee Carlisle.
