I am saddened to see that the Lometa school bond was voted down by the local voters last week. But, there is good news in that experience. There were 236 votes cast. If memory serves correctly, that is nearly twice the normal voter turnout in recent years. It is sad that the opportunity to take advantage of the lowest construction costs in years and the lowest interest rates in years was passed up.

The good news will be evident this coming November when this same attention is given to turn back the horrible wreck that is happening in our nation’s capital. It will take this same level of voter attention to overcome the 43 percent who will automatically vote for the tyranny of the Obama Socialist takeover of our nation.

Please, please don’t let the fever cool down between now and November so we can send those who are playing games with our liberty home to stay. This is the United States of America.
