In recent 27th District Court action, 41-year-old Juan Jose Cortez of Nolanville was sentenced to three six-year terms to run concurrently in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division. The sentence stems from two charges of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, and a charge of bond jumping.

Cortez was credited with jail time served.

Sara Elizabeth Dickison, 28, of Lometa was given five years’ deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine for improper relationship between educator and student.

For driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, Janice Kay Crusan, 49, of Lampasas received four years’ probation and a $1,000 fine. She also was ordered to attend a substance abuse program.

Alejandro Barboza Suchil, 31, was denied a bond reduction or release on personal recognizance. He is charged with burglary of a habitation.

Michael James Morton, 22, of Lampasas is expected to enter a plea today for driving while intoxicated with a child under 15.

Arraignment is today for Kimbrough Fred Estes, 40, of Houston. He is charged with criminal non-support.

An adjudication hearing is slated today for Matthew Bradley Harris, 26, of Elgin for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.

Pretrial hearings are set May 21 for Craig Edward Scott, 22, for burglary of a habitation; Manuel Mondragon Martinez, 31, of Fort Hood for driving while intoxicated, third or more; and Carl Bradley Carrigan, 33, for possession with intent to promote child pornography.

A June 11 pretrial is set for John Lloyd Meade, 61, of Copperas Cove for burglary of a habitation.

For sexual assault of a child and online solicitation of a minor sex conduct, Lometan Jared Blake Edmondson, 27, faces a punishment hearing June 18.

For criminal non-support, 37- year-old Killeen resident Russell Lawrence Brown is set to enter a plea June 18.

Jury trials are slated July 26 for Travis Ray Turley, 37, of Dublin for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; John Angus McDonald, 34, of Gillett for possession of marijuana over four ounces and under five pounds; Cristy Opal Biddy, 28, of Lampasas for assault on a public servant; and Ronald Allen Bascom, 62, of Cherokee for forgery of a financial instrument.
