Ed Pharr, 76, of Knox City died May 11, 2010.

Funeral services are May 14 at 1 p.m. at Foursquare Church with Brother Gary Schnable and Brother Paul Chambers officiating.

Mr. Pharr was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Brownwood, the son of Weldon and Oleta Pharr.

He earned a bachelor of arts from Hardin-Simmons University.

Mr. Pharr married Melba Hutchinson in Knox City on Oct. 23, 1955.

He was district supervisor for Kelly Moore Paint for 25 years. He was a member of Foursquare Church.

Survivors include his wife of Knox City; two sons, A.J. Pharr and wife, Dana, of Lubbock, and Weldon C. Pharr and wife, Elaine, of Irving; two sisters, Kathryn Belt and Danny Compton of Knox City, and Betty Ray and Allen Ray of Austin; four grandchildren, Patrick W. Abbott, Jennifer Abbott Sharp, Shelby L. Pharr and Joshua C. Pharr; and one great-grandson.
