Relay for Life set Saturday
Lampasas Relay for Life will include a survivors’ dinner and reception, followed by a survivors’ lap.
The event, beginning Saturday, promises a lot of entertainment, fun events and interesting ways by participants to raise funds in the fight against cancer.
The relay gets under way at 2 p.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 5 p.m. at the Lampasas Middle School track (former high school track).
The survivor’ lap starts at 5:15 p.m., followed by the reception at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to participate in events.

Luminarias are on sale in memory of someone who lost the battle to cancer or in honor of a survivor. They are available for a minimum donation of $5. Phone Missy at the Chamber of Commerce at 556-5172 for more information or to purchase them.
