Gertrude Olene Jackson Reese, 86, died May 8, 2010.

Funeral services were May 10 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Reese was born April 30, 1924. in Liberty Hill, to Ora and Sam Jackson.

She married Vernard Audaine Reese on Dec. 1, 1943.

Mrs. Reese was an active member of Tyler Street United Methodist Church in Dallas for 55 years.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Ben McWilliams, and Barbara and Frank Hagle; brothers, Odell Jackson and wife, Judy, of Fredericksburg, and Sam Jr. Jackson of Holland; sisters, Edna Earle Roth and husband, Carl, of Georgetown, and Linnie Dennis of McGregor; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Reese; grandchildren, Stephanie Byrd and Brian, Kari Morrow and Paten, Jennifer Mosser and Randall, and Bryan Hagle; greatgrandchildren, Allison, Austin, Wyatt, Eleanor, Grahm and Adelyn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
