Goldman Sachs

Do you remember the whole disgusting saga about Pete Rose being kept out of the Hall of Fame because he bet against his own team? He was severely punished, and his entire career, on which he had spent so much time and effort, went down the drain.

Yet we have Wall Street’s Goldman Sachs who took mortgages, bundled them together and sold them as derivatives. Where are the similarities? How can I compare Pete versus Wall Street? I think it is very clear. Goldman Sachs had a special group who literally gambled against the derivatives. They made huge profits from betting that they would fail.

Will their career go down the tube? Will their career come to a feeble close? Oh, no! Matter of fact, for their crime they received obscene bonuses. If you think money does not talk, I have a bridge in Marble Falls to sell you.
