Lometa resident Aubrey Mae Johns, 53, died April 30, 2010, at her residence.

Graveside services were May 3 at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa with Brother Sam Crosby officiating.

Mrs. Johns was born Oct. 24, 1956, in Leander, the daughter of Herman “Buck” and Julie Hayes Mouser.

She married Daniel Wayne Johns Sr. on Dec. 15, 1973, in Georgetown.

Mrs. Johns was the lunchroom manager for the Lometa Independent School District.

She was a member of the Baptist church. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and being outdoors.

Survivors include her husband of Lometa; three sons, Daniel Johns Jr. and Edmond Johns and wife, Amber, all of Lometa, and Adam Johns and wife, Cassie, of El Paso; one daughter, Tanya Johns and husband, Jimmy Thompson of Lometa; her mother of Leander; four sisters and their husbands, Ester and Richard Andrews and Rita and Daniel Andrews, all of Leander, Blanche and Earl Mouser of Killeen, and Linda and Larry Johns of Jarrell; and four grandchildren, Dylon Daniel Johns, Taylor Nicole Dunlap, Keyton Meredith Johns and Rowdy Daniel Johns.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
