Grand jury returns indictments
The Lampasas County grand jury handed down 22 indictments in its most recent term.
The Lampasas Police Department presented cases that resulted in the indictment of:
• Victoria Marie Redmayne, 19, for forgery, on Jan. 4.
• Emily Gail Garner, 20, for forgery, on Jan. 4.
• Joann Michel Jowers, 49, for forgery, on Aug. 15, 2009.
• Barbara Kay Howard, 43, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on April 1.
• Thomas Ed Maultsby, 49, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on April 1.
• Mark William Jones, 34, for criminal mischief, on Dec. 7.
• Carl Bradley Carrigan, 33, for attempted possession of child pornography, on March 17.
Indictments were handed down in cases presented by the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Department against:
• David Ray Sneed, 37, for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000, on June 22, 2009.
• Craig Edward Scott, 22, for burglary of a habitation, on Dec. 30, 2009.
• Earl David Nowlain, 25, for two counts of burglary of a habitation, on Jan. 9 and Jan. 12.
• James Robert Nash, 17, for burglary of a habitation, on Jan. 12.
• Nicholas Ryan Lucier, 23, for possession of a controlled substance, psilocybin, on Feb. 9.
• Kriste Marie Kelly, 25, for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, on Jan. 29.
• Thomas Dean Edwards, 53, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Feb. 8.
• Jeffery Corbin Gilley, 19, for sexual assault, on Feb. 18.
• Jason Wayne Mathenia, 27, for burglary of a habitation, on Feb. 27.
• Christine Michelle Potts, 29, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on March 27.
• Refugio Hernandez, 41, for driving while intoxicated third or more, on March 28.
• Kenneth Ray Peeples, 33, for sexual assault of a child under 17, on April 3.
The Lampasas County attorney presented a case that resulted in the indictment of Charles Anthony Leigh, 33, for assault, on March 14.
A case presented by the Lometa Police Department resulted in an indictment of Diana Davila, 39, for assault on a public servant, on April 1.
