Pedestrian signals

In the city of Lampasas, we have “Walk” and “Don’t Walk” traffic signals along Key Avenue at stop-lighted intersections. It is anybody’s guess what you are supposed to do at other intersections along this busy street/highway.

There are buttons for pedestrians to (I guess) let the signal system know someone wants to cross the street. I have never seen the “Walk” light on under any conditions. It could happen. There are several places where these “Walk” and “Don’t Walk” signals have been burned out for several months, maybe longer.

Without saying another word about this, what has happened to the department that takes care of the main street through our community?
