Funeral services for Martha Sue Keown, 76, of Lampasas, formerly of Bishop, were April 26, 2010, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Minister Jack Shelton officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Keown died April 23 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.

She was born July 15, 1933, in Cross, to Lester Guy and Velma Ray Clary Burney.

Mrs. Keown attended Robstown schools. She married Robert C. Keown on Sept. 7, 1951, in Robstown.

She was a bookkeeper and financial analyst for Brown and Root for a number of years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lampasas.

She is survived by her husband of Lampasas; two sons and their wives, Robert A. and Nancy Keown of Los Alamos, N.M., and Leslie N. and Katy Keown of Cedar Park; one daughter, Jamie Parker and husband, Sam, of Lampasas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, both from the Houston area.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
