Cancer researcher to be in Lampasas Wednesday

Dr. Alexzander Asea, an investigative pathologist for Scott & White, will be in Lampasas on Wednesday to speak to those interested in Asea’s latest promising research into a cure for breast cancer.

He will address the audience at 4:30 p.m. at the former Lampasas Middle School cafeteria, 207 E. Avenue A.

Prior to Asea’s talk, Lampasas Independent School District speech pathologist Wendy LaBauve, who was diagnosed with avanced-stage cancer, will give a brief talk.

Mrs. LaBauve, who resides in Harker Heights, is moving with her family to Lampasas.

Both Asea and Mrs. LaBauve hope to raise some funds in Lampasas to further Asea’s research.
