Lampasas senior soccer players Ethan Moses, left, and Michael Fisher were both named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Academic All-State Team. The Badgers soccer team did not end its year with a bang, but a number of the players did.

Five Badgers landed on the District 49-4A All-District list, 11 were named academic all-district, and two more earned academic allstate honors.

Seniors Michael Fisher and Ethan Moses were placed on the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Academic All-State Team. Lampasas head coach Greg Porter accepted certificates on the players’ behalf at the soccer state championships Friday in Georgetown.

“This is the second year in a row that Lampasas has had academic all-state players, and I hope that [the trend] will continue to grow as a tradition for the soccer program,” the coach said.

Both Fisher and Moses have maintained near-perfect gradepoint averages over the first seven semesters of their high school careers, while also participating in other activities.
