Margaret Pitts Moore died March 28, 2010, at age 87.

Graveside services are pending in Coleman.

Mrs. Moore was born May 10, 1923, in Hood River, Ore., to Horace and Bertie Pate Pitts.

She grew up in Texas, and resided most of her life in Abilene. She was married to Willis R. Moore for 62 years.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a caregiver. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters Service Club and was a seamstress.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Elizabeth (Beth) Hendler of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Robert Pitts of Lampasas; a grandson, Austin More Hendler of Seattle; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Ricky.
