DuBose places seventh in discus at Texas Relays

The Badgers’ powerhouse posted a first- or second-place finish in the discus in every meet for Lampasas this season to qualify for the annual meet held at the University of Texas at Austin campus.
Alongside some of the top athletes in the state, DuBose recorded a throw of 170-9.
Faults plagued DuBose during the competition as he only completed one throw.
After fouling on his first attempt, DuBose successfully completed his second throw before fouling on his final four throws Friday afternoon.
Two days prior, DuBose won gold at the Marble Falls Mustang Relays with a distance of 159-11.
Dalton Rowan, of Conroe Oak Ridge, won the event with a throw of 177-3. Spring’s Taji Henley (175-2) and Burleson’s Clint Harris (174-9) placed second and third, respectively. Heath Skelton, of Amarillo, finished fourth.
