At a meeting on March 18, 2010, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Lampasas Library voted unanimously to dissolve the organization, effective March 31. Funds held by the group, as well as any received during March 2010, will be donated to the Library Foundation for its use in funding construction of the library addition. Donated books will continue to be accepted by the library, and funds from their sale at the library will be used for library improvements.

The board thanks all those who have supported the Friends of the Lampasas Library with donations of funds and books, and who have generously volunteered to work at book sales and summer reading events throughout the years. We also will continue, and encourage others, to support the library in its service to the community.
