A woman who had been residing in Kempner for the past several months and was wanted on Jefferson County, Mo., parole violation warrants was sentenced to 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Pamela Lee Newkirk, 38, was arrested March 16 by Lampasas County Sheriff’s Investigator John Seery as she was operating a mobile methamphetamine lab in her minivan at the Shell Gas Station in Kempner.

Ms. Newkirk, who waived extradition to Missouri, was credited with jail time served.

In other 27th District Court action, Henry O’Neal Andrews, 40, of Kempner is set for an April 9 punishment hearing for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

An adjudication hearing is on the April 9 docket for Daniel Caleb Gerhart, 22, of Lampasas on a charge of burglary of a building.

Jared Blake Edmondson, 27, of Lometa is set to enter a plea May 7 for online solicit minor sex conduct and sexual assault of a child.

A pretrial hearing is set for Cristy Opal Biddy, 28, of Lampasas for assault on a public servant.

For theft of service over $1,500 and under $20,000, 22-year-old William Joshua Warren of Lampasas is expected to enter a plea May 14.

Suppression hearings on the May 21 docket include arson charges for Brandon Michael Scott, 17, and Craig Edward Scott, 22, both of Kempner. Jury trials are scheduled June 28.

A June 28 jury trial also is set for Danny Lee Hurt, 48, of Lampasas on a charge of indecency with a child sexual contact.

For possession of a controlled substance less than one gram, Joab Fuentes, 24, of Kempner is to enter a plea Aug. 20.

A Sept. 17 plea is set to be entered by Roxanne Marie Henderson, 22, of Lampasas for harassment of a public servant.

The state is set to dismiss a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more against Gamaliel Garcia, 55, of Little River after a county case is presented.
