Mural preparations under way
On Saturday, Sue Ellen Bumpus, Dianna Hodges, TJ Mabrey and
Amy McDaniel met at Ron Ischy’s building at Sixth and Western
streets to project the image for the latest Vision Lampasas! Art Committee
sponsored mural, “Postcard,” onto the wall. The group began
tracing the letters -- L - A - M - P - A - S - A - S -- on the wall. On
Sunday, they began choosing colors for the images. Each letter will
feature a historic building or site in Lampasas within the confines of
the letter’s outline. A call for community volunteers will soon go out
for the paint-by-number mural.
