Jump ropers

Hanna Springs Elementary School students participated in the American Heart Association's annual Jump Rope for Heart event. Students raised nearly $4,000 while they learned what it takes to keep their hearts healthy. The top fund-raiser from each grade includes, front row from left, Jazmine Aguirre, second grade; Harley Wakeman and Grant Patterson, kindergarten; Tatum Morrison, fifth grade; and Jabian Aguirre, fourth grade; back row from left, Nathan Keese, fifth grade; Ace Whitehead, first grade; Hunter Vessels, second grade; and Joy Melder and Asiel Gary, third grade. Not pictured: JJ Medina, first grade; and Casey Gautier, fourth grade.


Top fund-raisers Jazmine and Jabian Aguirre raised the most funds -- $250 apiece -- in the school's Jump Rope for Heart event.
