Graveside services for Emily Luvenia Johnston, 88, of Lampasas are March 31, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Tobey Cemetery in Oakalla with Carl Guthrie officiating.

Visitation is March 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Johnston died March 26 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.

She was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Oakalla, to Marion S. and Cora Reavis Guthrie.

She married Ray Robert Johnston on May 5, 1945.

Mrs. Johnston worked as a hospital supply clerk for many years at Darnall Army Hospital. She was a member of the Baptist church where she taught Sunday School and was active in WMU.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda McAndrew of Lampasas; one son, Robert Johnston of Liberty Hill; one sister, Nelda Elizabeth McAndrew of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren, Chad, Shawn, Justin, Kerri and Charles; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Chase and Braylin; and three sisters-inlaw, Bonnie, Johnnie and Rowanna.

She was preceded in death by

her husband and by five brothers.
