BASKETBALL
Former Lady Badger basketball player Kayla Lowery will play for the USA Basketball Team during international play at the 2010 Bahamian Tropical Shootout this summer in the Bahamas.
Lowery was invited to participate by the 365 Sports Program based on her “exceptional play and dedication to the sport of basketball,” according to a press release.
The program, directed by former collegiate and professional coaches, offers players the opportunity to develop character-building skills in addition to playing basketball on an elite level.
“The 365 Sports experience is a tremendous opportunity for a young athlete to develop their character and leadership skills,” Rik Seymour, CEO of 365 Sports, Inc., said. “It provides the athlete a unique way in which to experience the sharing of culture and sport between people of different nationalities.”
