Church slates Bible study
One of America’s most renowned and esteemed Bible teachers, Beth Moore, will help women throughout North American conquer fear and doubt and discover the secret to liberating confidence and security in a nationwide simulcast event.
In conjunction with Church Communication Network, First United Methodist Church of Lampasas will present Beth Moore’s “So Long Insecurity” on April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. live via satellite on CCN.
Founder of the worldwide Living Proof Ministry, Ms. Moore is known for her Bible studies, conference teaching and numerous best-selling books including “Breaking Free,” “Believing God” and “Get Out of that Pit.”
This one-day simulcast, based on her newest book “So Long Insecurity: You’ve Been a Bad Friend to Us,”
Ms. Moore reveals a transparent, almost autobiographical look at the common sources of female insecurity: the unattainable perfection of media images; dependence on a man’s love as ultimate validation; and success that is defined by money, power and status.
Ms. Moore will show women how to face their fears, rediscover their dignity and develop a new and stronger sense of self.
Teaching sessions for the 5 1/2- hour event will be presented via satellite by Ms. Moore with praise and worship led by Travis Cottrell and his band.
Cost is $15 and includes lunch. A nursery will be provided if arrangements are made in advance.
