For the fourth time in four meets, the varsity Badgers earned gold.

This time, they did it at home.

Lampasas hosted the 2010 Battlin’ Badger Relays Friday, and the varsity boys’ team easily defeated the competition by placing first in seven events en route to earning 156 points.

“I am very proud of our Badgers,” head coach Jimmy Randolph said. “Their hard work and discipline is showing up and paying off.”

While the Badgers were fast on the track, it was their home field where they dominated. Lampasas placed first or second in every field event in which it participated.

In the high jump, Badgers won gold and silver medals, as Secody Howard (5-10) and Zach Adams (5-8) finished consecutively.
