Kimberly Kuklies, health science teacher at Lampasas High School, was elected to the Texas Health Occupations Association Board of Directors. She will serve for the next year as director of Area 1.

THOA’s mission includes keeping teachers informed of legislative changes that will affect career and technical education, and health science education courses and certification programs.

As area director, Mrs. Kuklies will help plan and implement the summer professional development conference attended each year by more than 350 health science teachers from across the state.

“Mrs. Kuklies has shown a dedication to her profession and a desire to make sure that the students in Texas health science programs are getting the best education available,” said LHS Principal Mark Kehoe.
