James L. Hale of Lampasas died March 7, 2010, in Temple, at age 88.

Graveside services with military honors by the U.S. Army will be March 12 at 11 a.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Hale was born March 23, 1921, in Little, Okla., to Charles and Rose Miller Hale.

He was married to Mary Hale in Houston.

Mr. Hale was a veteran of World War II. He lived in the Central Texas area most of his life, and lived in Lampasas over 10 years. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a sister, Evelyn McLane of Marble Falls; three brothers, Roy Hale of Lampasas, William Hale of Salado, and John Hale of Killeen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife.
