Lampasas opened its season Monday in Leander against the Rouse Raiders and, after taking a 2-2 tie into the fourth inning, posted the game’s final three runs in the following two innings to win 5-2.

Junior pitcher Seth Kendrick picked up the victory for Lampasas, while senior Vann Millican earned the save. Kendrick, who is beginning his first full year on the varsity team, threw 10 strikeouts in five innings and gave up just two hits.

Cody Robinson also delivered a two-for-three batting performance, scoring two runs and posting an RBI.

Lampasas finished the game with eight hits, while giving up only three.
