The Lampasas County grand jury handed down 11 indictments in its most recent term.

The Lampasas Police Department presented cases that resulted in the indictment of:

• Cristy Opal Biddy, 28, for assault on a public servant, on Jan. 17.

• Brenda Hilliard-Ballard, 50, for forgery, on Jan. 9.

• Melissa Ann Smith, 29, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Feb. 9.

Indictments were handed down in cases presented by the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Department against:

• Russell Lawrence Brown, 37, for criminal non-support, on Jan. 1, 2009.

• John Lloyd Meade, 61, for burglary of a habitation, on Dec. 5, 2009.

• Alejandro Barboza Suchil, 31, for burglary of a habitation, on Dec. 26, 2009.

• Brandon Michael Scott, 17, for arson of a vehicle, on Jan. 20.

• Craig Edward Scott, 22, for arson of a vehicle, on Jan. 20.

The Lampasas County attorney presented cases that resulted in the indictments of:

• Gary Martin Reed, 39, for theft over $1,500 and over $20,000, on July 1, 2008.

• Molly Workman, 31, for tampering with government records, on Jan. 12, 2009.

• Tomas Santiago Jr., 47, for driving while intoxicated, third more more, on Feb. 5.
