Court officer delays hearing at Fort Hood until June 1

Col. James Pohl, the investigative officer appointed to the Maj. Nidal Hasan Article 32 proceedings, has granted a defense request to delay the hearing start date.

The Article 32 hearing (a court martial hearing), originally scheduled to begin March 1, is now to start June 1.

Charges were filed Nov. 12 against Hasan for the Nov. 5 shooting incident at Fort Hood. The charges include 13 specifications of premeditated murder and 32 specifications of attempted premeditated murder.
