Janet Kay Simpson Orem, 42, of Delmar, Md., died Feb. 14, 2010, after a 13-year battle with cancer.

Funeral services are Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at Briggs-Gamel Lampasas with Minister Elvis Fisher officiating. Burial will be at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa.

Visitation is Feb. 22 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Orem was born June 25, 1967, in Lampasas, to Curtis Larry Simpson and Janice Cook Simpson of Lampasas.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Edward Orem Jr., of Delmar; children, Alex Larry Simpson and Brandyn Alexander Lee, both of Lampasas, and Marlan Danielle Lee of Delmar; her parents of Lampasas; a sister, Marla Jane Ward, and husband, Rodney, of Cedar Park; and seven nieces and nephews.
