Funeral services for Killeen resident Wanda Bradley, 79, were Feb. 13, 2010, at Lometa Church of Christ with Darnell Boyd and Keith Cormier officiating. Burial was at Senterfitt Cemetery at Lometa.
Mrs. Bradley died Feb. 10 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.
She was born May 3, 1930, in Barbers Hill, the daughter of William Douglas and Bessie Evelona Shelton Wiley.
Mrs. Bradley graduated from Barbers Hill High School and was class valedictorian.
She received nurse’s training and earned her registered nursing degree, spending the next 40 years practicing her profession and helping people.
She retired in 1995, and later moved to Lometa for a few years before moving to Killeen. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Killeen.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Lauri and David Kniffen of Killeen; three sisters, Sylvia Avant and husband, Arnold, of Lometa, Mona Fisher of Livingston, and Joyce Barclay and husband, Maurice, of Deer Park; and three grandsons, Quinn, Dalton and Arron.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Cherokee Children’s Home.
