Two more arrests made for burglary
Two arrests were made Wednesday in connection with a recent slate of burglaries being investigated in Lampasas County by the Sheriff’s Department.
Investigator John Seery said Craig Edward Scott, 22, and Ashley Tijerina, 23, both of Copperas Cove, have been charged with burglary of a habitation.
As of press time Thursday morning, neither had been arraigned, and bond was not set.
Scott and his brother, 17-yearold Brandon Michael Scott, were charged with the Jan. 20 arson of a 1993 Jeep Wrangler that broke down on FM 580 East. Seery said the brothers attempted to burglarize the Jeep before setting it on fire. The vehicle was a total loss.
Both suspects were booked on charges of arson and posted a $5,000 bond before being released from the Lampasas County Jail last week.
