Residents to benefit from dental group’s free services

The Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation is offering free dental care to Lampasans this weekend.

On Friday, students from Hanna Springs Intermediate School will be bused to the former Lampasas Middle School cafeteria to participate in Fluoride Fest, an educational program with a free fluoride varnish treatment and sealants.

Fluoride Fest will open to other children in the community from 3-6 p.m. at the cafeteria, with free fluoride treatments and sealants as time provides.

On Saturday, the Smiles on Wheels program will be at the middle school cafeteria for an educational presentation for adults and children, and free treatment will include cleaning, fillings, extractions and some root canals, as time allows for adults and children.

All treatments are free. Those seeking services -- provided by all Lampasas dentists -- should plan to be in line by 6:30 a.m.

For information, phone the Texas Dental Association at (512) 448-2441 or visit www.tdasf.org.
