Mrs. Watts
Billie Juanita Watts, 77, of Lampasas died Feb. 1, 2010, at Lampasas Nursing & Rehab.
Funeral services were Feb. 3 at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Minister Reid Schaub officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mrs. Watts was born April 21, 1932, in Catalina, the daughter of Noah Loftin and Velma Ivy Stewart Meredith.
She attended Smithwick schools and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1949.
Mrs. Watts attended Durham’s Business College in Austin.
She married Coyne Craft on Oct. 21, 1950, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1971.
She later married Jimmie Dave Watts and he preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1988.
Mrs. Watts worked at Rollins- Brook Hospital as a nurse’s aide for three years, and then became deputy county clerk and held that post for 10 years. She also served as county treasurer for 10 years.
Mrs. Watts later moved to Georgetown and managed rental properties. She moved back to Lampasas in 2003.
She is survived by a son, Gary Craft of Copperas Cove; three daughters, Cinda Richter and husband, Bill, and Linda Null and husband, Kenny, and Denise Sooter, all of Lampasas; nine grandchildren, Gary Craft, Bobby Craft, Nicole Craft, Jamie Bradford, Stephanie McCormick, Keith Null, Whitney Null, Dwayne Durham and Dana Marsh; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Derrick Richter.
