Graveside services for Emily Jo Linzey, 82, were Jan. 30, 2010, at Senterfitt Cemetery at Lometa with James Mosley officiating.

Mrs. Linzey died Jan. 26 in Austin.

She was born July 1, 1927, in Lometa, the daughter of Ben Daniel and Oma Lee Coleman.

She married Homer Lee Linzey on May 4, 1946, in Lometa. They lived in San Saba for more than 50 years.

The Linzeys were longtime members of San Saba Methodist Church and were active in the San Saba American Legion.

Mrs. Linzey was a bookkeeper at San Saba County Hospital for more than 10 years.

She and her husband drove across Texas for many years to dance to their favorite country music bands and entertainers.

Survivors include a son, David Glenn Linzey of Austin; two granddaughters, Jaimie Nicole Danek of Eddy and Nikki Jo Snyder of Austin; a great-granddaughter, Laken Emily Danek of Austin; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Don Owens of Lampasas; a sister-in-law, Margie Coleman of Midland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and by three brothers, James Coleman, Jack Coleman and O.B. Coleman.

Pallbearers were Josh Smith, Jason Smith, Don Owens, Ricky Smith, Cloise Graves and Frank Tomlinson.
