Troy Fraser, establishing the Lometa Diamondback Jubilee BBQ Cookoff as a state-sanctioned barbecue cookoff. The action makes it possible for points earned by participants in the Lometa event to be used to qualify for a state championship title. The Lometa cookoff is now sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association. The 40th annual Diamondback Jubilee (including the barbecue cookoff) is set March 27 at Lometa Regional Park.
