Set aside time to vote
Voting citizens of Lampasas County, the primary voting season is upon us! Please study the issues and candidates before you cast your vote, and if you are not familiar with a candidate and his/her views, you are not penalized for not voting in that place.
Early voting begins Tuesday, Feb. 16 at the Elections Administrator’s office at 412 S. Live Oak in Lampasas.
Also, voters who meet certain criteria can vote by mail after requesting and completing an application for a ballot by mail by phoning 512-556-8271, ext. 206 or by walk-in request at the Elections Administrator’s office.
The vote by mail criteria is:
1. 65 years of age or older.
2. disability.
3. confinement in jail.
4. expected absence from the county.
After receiving your ballot, you may mark your ballot at your leisure and return it by mail so as to have the ballot received at the Elections Administrator’s office no later than March 2.
Election laws have made voting so accessible that if
you wish to vote, all you must do is set aside a little
time to exercise your constitutional right.
